Take The Vow

What comes to mind when you hear the word fierce?

According to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, fierce is defined as “very violent, eager to fight or kill, furiously active or determined, wild in appearance”.

At first, I thought this definition was negative. Extraordinary things will not fall into your lap. You have to fight for the life you want. “Furiously active” and “Wild in appearance” describe someone who is in charge and unique.

This is my definition of Fierce:

Fierce is standing up for yourself when it’s not the easiest or most comfortable thing to do.

Fierce is dressing in clothes that scream confidence.

Fierce is going to the movies alone because you want to see a movie no one else cares to see.

Fierce is being kind when no one else is.

Fierce is motivating yourself and others.

Fierce is being freakin fabulous.

I spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted to name this blog. I even created a list of 15 possible names. My mission is to create a space where women (and/or men) feel empowered to create a life they are excited to wake up to.

Close your eyes and envision what you want your life to be like. I am pretty sure it looks different for everyone.

You may want to travel to foreign places, study different cultures and meet new people. Or you may envision building your own empire. Maybe building your  family makes your heart smile

You may want to do all these things at different times in your life. Afterall, life is a series of phases.

Whatever your dream is, I am here to tell you it can happen! The only person stopping you is yourself. You have to strive to live a life on your terms. Creating space in your life for the little things that make you happy eventually lead to more smiles, more determination to achieve the big goals you have.

Follow Kayla’s board Vow to be Fierce on Pinterest.

If you want to stop living a normal life and wake up energized, loving and accepting yourself and ready to take on the world, be Fierce… take the vow.
